But my legs are reallying sore after a couple of hours.
I just wanna ask what you found is the most effective ratio that you use during your therapy and also if you have seen significant effect on how your legs feel.

The ratio that i usually use is 2:1 (hot:cold). Sometimes i just do it based on how I feel, like once i get really comfortable with one temperature i switch to the next. After I do it, my legs feel pretty fresh but that fades as the day progresses (like you said). I have found taking these constant hydrotherapy showers most beneficial when i take them in between my AM & PM run.

Thanks a lot Matt. I'm gonna use do this a lot.

dude I tried out the hydrotherapy thing and it rocks! also I'm glad you mentioned ross running in his underwear in the partner assassin write up, I'm definitely gonna have to drag that story out of him. Sounds like he had a rough week, with kissing frank on the lips in the skit and all

I like the idea of the Devil workout. That seems like it could be a really fun and competitive event. I am not sure I understand the Angel workout though. What is the point of it? The fastest person doesn't even get a workout.

We had a similar thing at Noblesville, but somehow both angel and devil were combined. I remember watching it at camp before my freshman year and not knowing what was going on. I'll ask papa G to see what it is. Not really important, but I thought it was a cool connection.

HAHAHAH i forgot about Ross & Frank kissing. I'm glad you brought that up. I kinda wonder what people on here think of Ross from all this stuff were posting about him...hahah

Yea the Angel/Devil workout is a lot of fun and very strategic usually. Well, the angel workout is run before devil so the winner of Angel had to run all-out for 440m meters before doing devil (there is always someone who challenges the favorite to win in Angel, even in the days when Connor Claflin dominated the workout). Even though the top runner might not be getting a workout, you have to look at it from all perspectives. The slowest guy on the team will only run 1 lap in Devil before getting ousted, so his/her workout will come primarily from the Angel portion.

Yea some of the first time campers on our team who were running it weren't exactly sure what was going on and were confused when the coach told them they were done. I have no idea how this workout came about.

Well from what we've posted about him they can assume:

1. He might be fast this year.
2. He might not be able to hold down milk.
3. He might walk around in nothing but underwear.
4. He might kiss boys.
5. He might enjoy creepy basements.
6. He might enjoy reading this post.

Are you trying to say that you don't care about Popé rebelling against the Spanish? Seriously though, I've found it to be really hard to balance school with running this year. Have you had problems with not getting enough sleep because you're working on homework?

I'm still struggling to find the balance between work and play. My schedule is much, much more rigorous this year then it has been the past two years. On the bright side, LC has changed the times of school to 8:50 - 3:40. Although i'm up until midnight almost every night, i am still able to get sufficient sleep because school does not start until 8:50. The only times i am short on sleep is when we have morning practices at 7 AM.

Coach Holman came by UIndy yesterday and showed us all kinds of hip flexibility workouts. Does LC do these very often?

We do them very, very often during indoor track season and sporadically throughout the season. I believe you will be seeing a lot more of Coach Holman in the time coming.

That's good to know. I liked them for the most part. The only negative was having a tight hamstring the next day from not being used to them.

I vow to all of the avid readers of my blog that i will step up my game. I've been slacking recently as i have typed 3 out of the last 4 of my posts up on wednesday nights @ 11:30. I know my last post was very blunt. I'll try to add some photos and more details in my upcoming posts. I might even try to use some of my english vocabulary words for i can sound intelligent.

We did the Michigan workout a few weeks ago at Southeastway. That is definitely one of the toughest workout I've ever done. We didn't stop to change shoes or anything. We took 30 seconds in between each hard and tempo. Then we went straight into the hard after our tempo. It was kind of hot that day too which didn't help matters.
Here's my training log from that day on running2win. I just copied and pasted it.

We did the Michigan workout today at Southeastway Park. I felt good, but not great at the start. I was 2nd to Jake on the first three hards. On the 400, I don't know where I got the energy but somehow ran 63. This workout was tough but was worth it.

15:00 (2 miles wu)
5:03 (1600 hard)
6:00 (1600 tempo)
3:54 (1200 hard)
6:01 (1600 tempo)
2:30 (800 hard)
5:55 (1600 tempo)
63 (400 hard)
6:05 (tempo)
2:19 (400m jog)
71, 60, 58, 56 (300m hills)
14:10 (2 miles cd)

Total distance 11.5 Miles in 1:12:15 [6:16 per mile]

I believe they are called Nike Zoom Structure Triax 15. They cost $117 at the Blue Mile on 116th street in Fishers. I tried on a few other shoes but these seemed the best to me. When the guy working told me the price, i asked how much the others cost. They were all over 100. I think the next time i buy running shoes Im just gonna go to Kohls. Except seriously..

what were these "technical difficulties" with said female distance runner on spring break...?
“The enemy is like a woman, weak in face of opposition, but correspondingly strong when not opposed. In a quarrel with a man, it is natural for a woman to lose heart and run away when he faces up to her; on the other hand, if the man begins to be afraid and to give ground, her rage, vindictiveness and fury overflow and know no limit.” - St. Ignatius of Loyola #swaggg
