Recruiting was Complicated

Well i was Committed to UK since a year ago today but i didn't qualify D1 so i then committed to GVSU but i didn't get in. I was on my way to the tent for the prelims of the 110HH at state and got stopped by Coach Myers and got info on them and looked into it was looking at JUCO's and they seemed to fit me best. But i kept looking and didn't see where i could do best so i chose ICCC. Also knew a few guys on the team they said its great and i know like 5 or 6 guys going with me as well.

Hey good to have you blogging, I was wondering, how do you prepare year round for track season. I know with long distance track guys it is easy because XC is often involved. Track guys like you of course have sports like football or basketball but it really isn't the same thing and they don't go as hand in hand as XC and longtrack in college. So, how do you train for track during the off months, or do you at all? I know people take time off but I was assuming you did work outside of track. Do you have a trainer or coach during the off months that helps you or gives you things to do not in season?

Well i usually ran summer track and then too 3-4 weeks off and trained 3 times a week with xc. Also lifted during offseason/xc season. But i dont like to take much time off because i have asthma and after a few weeks it catches back up with me so i try and stay in shape. This year was different i was told not to run after MWMC. So i didn't train at all till recently. I stopped playing other sports because i felt track was gonna put me through college and i had a passion for hurdles so i dedicated my self to that I was suppose to run XC but instead train during that time. I tried to not train like a college Athlete as much as possible so that i could do more in College so i didn't life much or goto trainers like Accel and stuff.

I hope that answers your question i kinda was jumping back and forth

What do you think the transition from 39 inch hurdles to 42 inch hurdles will be like?

actually i think it wont make a difference i stretch and have ran over them recently and i think it will help me out i like to skim the hurdle , once i got faster over the 39 i could not do that anymore. the 42 Inch fits me perfectly its right at my crotch area so its basically a step over.
