Boys Cross Country

Rensselaer Invitational: Times No. 1 Valparaiso's Peyton Reed was the overall winner in 15 minutes, 59 seconds.

Crown Point's Alex Ray was second (16:10), while Ari Coulopoulos was third in 16:13 for the Vikings, who had 11 of the top 20 finishers.

In Seniors, Lake Central won Division I with nine points and Josh Keith was the winner (16:53). In Division II, North Newton (42 points) won and Rensselaer's Trent Nagle was the winner (17:04).

In the Freshmen Division I, West Side won with 16 points and Crown Point's Jacob Langbehn was the winner in 17:31. In Division II, Nick Zak led Hanover Central to a first-place finish. Zak won in 17:36 and the Wildcats had 46 points.

In the Juniors Division I, Valpo won with 10 points and Reed was the winner. In Division II, Delphi was the team winner.

In Sophomores Division I Valparaiso had six points and Coulopoulos was the winner.

In Division II, LaCrosse's Nate Rhodes won (18:03) and Winamac took the team title (46 points).

Girls Cross Country

Rensselaer Invitational: West Side won the Junior-Seniors Division I race with 51 points, edging Merrillville (57 points).

Merrillville's Tori Collins was the winner (20:31).

West Central won the Division II with 52 points.

In the Frosh-Soph Division II, South Central's Kyleight Warner was the winner (21:14). West Central won the meet (80 points). Hanover Central was third (89) and South Central fifth (103).
