Valparaiso 20, Crown Point 41: Ari Coulopoulos and Xavier Reed went 1-2 as the No. 1 Vikings topped the No. 3 Bulldogs in a DAC dual at Lemon Lake.
Daniel Walters came in third for C.P., followed by the Vikings' Murray Banks.
Andrean triangular: Andrean's Nick Janiga was the overall winner at Hidden Lake Park with a time of 17:20 as Andrean beat Hobart 23-36 and Highland 15-50.
Hobart's Chad Brooks was second (17:23). The Brickies beat Highland 15-46.
LaPorte 18, Chesterton 40; LaPorte 19, Lake Central 40; Chesterton 26, Lake Central 29: Dakota Dubbs (16:42) edged Mitch Hubner and Anthony Didion for the No. 2 Slicers, who claimed the first three spots. Austin Palombizio was fourth for No. 9 Chesterton, with L.C.'s Josh Keith fifth.
North Newton 19, Whiting 38, Lake Station Inc.: The host Spartans took four of the first five positions to earn the team title. North Newton's Josh Hooks (18:30) won with teammate Leo Espino taking second. Whiting's Matt Lowe was third, followed by the Spartans' Jesse Anderson and Adam Davis.
Girls Cross Country
Chesterton 20, LaPorte 43; Lake Central 25, Chesterton 30; Lake Central 20, LaPorte 43: Slicer Elena Lancioni was the individual winner in 19:30. Shelby Carroll was second, pacing the Indians, followed by the Trojans' Haley Cushway. No. 3 L.C. took three of the top four spots to edge No. 5 Chesterton.
Crown Point 26, Valparaiso 30; Valparaiso 18, Michigan City 40; Crown Point 17, Michigan City 44: Tiffany Fortney and Katleyn DeVries took the first two places, but the No. 2 Bulldogs claimed the next three places, led by Lyndee Pierce, to edge the No. 1 Vikings.
Andrean triangular: Hobart's Celena Guerrero was the individual winner at Hidden Lake with a time of 20:12, while Andrean's Kellyn Vale was second (21:39).
Andrean beat Highland 19-36 and Hobart 24-31. Highland edged Hobart 28-32.
Whiting 22, North Newton 39, Lake Station Inc.: North Newton's Jenny Madrigal won the triangular with a time of 22:29, but the Oilers took the next three positions (Sayra Jimenez, Citiali Lopez and Erin Mahoney) to get the team victory.
