Another close race between Burgin and Bingham. I think this is the third race this year where Burgin beat Bingham by less than 3 seconds.

Actually, it is the 4th time they have met and Spencer has prevailed. Tipton Inv and last night were very close races with Spencer getting Jacob at the very end. At Tipton, they both went 4:51 last mile. Last night on a fairly hilly last mile they went 4:56 last mile. They are both going to need to go out much faster than they have been though if they want to keep up with the big boys! Both of these guys are great competitors and are fun to watch race.
Congratulations to Western H.S. Panthers. They came in as the underdogs and just ran exceptionally well for the Conference win. Nice job guys.

So that's 5 times they've run against each other. I was just saying that three of them were very close. Yeah, Spencer especially is going to have to go out much faster in the tournament, because he's in the toughest sectional, regional, and semi-state. He is going to have to have a heck of a race to make it to state or even semi-state, but if he runs like he did at the Hamilton County meet, he can do it.

I stand corrected. Forgot about the exciting finish at the Mac Invite. There, Jacob and Adrian Glover were dueling it out over the last 300 meters or so, with Jacob gaining the advantage, all the while closing on Spencer.
