I believe that it was:

1. Martin - Westfield
2.Shiver - Westfield
3. Jimenez-Corridor - WL
4. Cooperider - WL
5. Cartwright - WL
6. Lewark - WL

by the way, I heard the Westfield girls sat out a significant number of their top runners.

Haven't seen the paper yet today but I heard from someone that was there that Noblesville placed 6 of the top 7 girls with one Harrison runner in the middle somewhere.

Interesting meet. I showed up a little late so I missed the girls race. Martin seemed to be running strong but taking it easy. Wasn't really surprised by what I saw. I think the only surprise was Frankfort, but then again...resting top runners seems like the "IN" thing these days..sadly.

these results would be wrong.

the 4 and 5 runners- cooperider and cartwright ran 17:00 and 17:09 respectively
their times match up with the 6 and 7 runners, and 6 and 7 times match with 7 and 8 and so on.

not really sure how the times were messed up...

so in reality, it was, for the top 2 teams:

Westfield
Martin 16:21
Shiver 16:57
Smith 17:17
DuVall 17:22
Tribbet 17:29
Finley 17:43

West Lafayette
Corredor 17:00
Cooperider 17:01
Cartwright 17:09
Lewark 17:13
Ribiero 17:27
Thomaz 17:40

You sure? I would say that you are probably right, where I was at about 200m to go Corredor was behind Cooperider, so it would seem for him to put 13 seconds on him. But they also had those times in the paper, so who knows?

Results were directly from the official results. No one was "resting" from Frankfort--just out for various reasons.

I think XC92 meant the results were printed incorrectly.

Do you know this for sure? Because Frankfort's #1 was there, jogging around and did not look to be injured at all. I don't have anything to base my suspicions on but my own eyes seeing him running around the course, so it seems that they are resting him. Otherwise it would seem strange to leave him out of the race. "various reasons" does not suffice as an excuse if he is healthy.

Does anyone know if Harrison implemented the 'new' course for this meet? There was talk last year that the course would be redesigned....just wondering if it had been done, or if we're running the same course as the past two years. Thanks.

How fast is this course? Noblesville's results are impressive.

I think a lot depends on whether they've changed the course.....last year Julian's time was a 16:45 and Zane's was at 16:58...I didn't have last year's results handy, but got them off of WL's website.

The first 2 miles or so are exactly the same. The difference starts with which hill you run up to get to the amphitheater--you go up the same gravel hill you go down by the 1/2 mile mark instead of the root-covered dirt trail/hill like last year, which is how it used to be a few years ago. Then, you do the new trail instead of parading around the big open area like in the past. After you pop out, the finish is straight back towards the starting line. The uphill is harder this year, but the trail is much nicer than the big grass loop since you're in the shade (for hot days) and running on the hard dirt trail at the end is better for speed than grass. I'd say at least half the course is on hard dirt trails (as long as it isn't raining), which would explain why it can run a little fast--especially late in the season for Sectionals/Regionals.

So from what is described is it as 'friendly' in viewing the runners?? It was nice for the grandparents to be able to see the huge loop on the grass at the end....but from what you are describing, it seems that the race now is more in the woods that surround the large grass area??

It is not as fan friendly up top because the runners disapear in the woods. I think the element of surprise could be added depending if any big moves are made after entering the woods up top. I would say the last 400 m of the race maybe a little more can be easily seen by the fans.
