Another other big run by Lowry and our first look at Indiana's preseason #1 team.

A fun meet to watch. You would've thought we were at a sectional or regional meet by the number of people there. . . it was the first home dual meet for the Bull Dogs in two seasons and Noblitt Park was packed.

For the ladies, Richardson and Sollman both broke the old course record.

In the guys race, CN's pack set a torrid opening pace, led by the beast Kelsey. Lowry took charge at about 2K, but Diehn closed fast, slicing off at least three seconds from the margin in the last 400.

A great meet -- and although you probably can't tell it from the scores, both Artesian teams really competed.

Really impressive times this early in the season. That course is not particularly fast.

For a reference: Christian Wagner ran the Noblitt course twice his senior year (both times much later in the season). On September 18 he set the course record at 15:36, and 11 days later he reset it with a 15:24.

Lowry's 15:39 a month earlier is quite the effort.
