good thread bro, i know this is for qbs but oh well

2000 Cleveland Courtney Brown, DE, Penn State
2001 Atlanta Michael Vick, QB, Virginia Tech
2002 Houston David Carr, QB, Fresno State
2003 Cincinnati Carson Palmer, QB, USC
2004 San Diego Eli Manning, QB, Mississippi
2005 San Francisco Alex Smith, QB Utah
2006 Houston Mario Williams, DE North Carolina State
2007 Oakland JaMarcus Russell, QB LSU
2008 Miami Jake Long OT Michigan
2009 Detroit Matt Stafford QB Georgia

Ranked from best to worst
1. Eli Manning, Giants
2. Mario Williams, Texans (so much for regretting passing on bush)
3. Carson Palmer, Bengals
4. Michael Vick, Eagles
5. David Carr, Giants
6. Jake Long, Miami
7. Matt Stafford, Lions
8. Alex Smith, 49ers
9. Courtney Brown, Retired
10. JaMarcus Russell, Raiders

i think david carr is a pretty good qb. how is any success going to be shown when you are on an expansion team??? his line was AWFUL...he might have held onto the ball for too long at some points, but it doesnt help when the pocket collapses every play

eli is a gem, mario williams turns out to be just a huge force, and palmer is a very good staring qb

other than those 3, there havent been too many quality players...too soon to call for stafford or long

my vote went to the worst qb ive ever seen, jamarcus russell, his box scores are hilarious to look at

agreed, i was wondering who makes who more, the QB or the surroundings

so is peyton manning such a good qb because of his amazing line, running game, WRs, and coaches or his amazing line, running game, WRs, and coaches so good because of him???

austin collie, pierre garcon, and dallas clark can all thank peyton for making them semi respectable players, reggie wayne to an extent but hes still a stud without manning

Semi respectable players Collie and Pierre are benefited by Manning not gonna argue there but they are rookies and could be dropping passes running wrong routes and they dont and dallas clark is one of the better tight ends in the league

Jamarcus Russel by far. He can't throw the ball at all. I think the most yards he has ever thrown in a game is like 175. hahah

Jamarcus Russel no question. The man's scored 2 touchdowns this year and given up 13 turnovers. That's just ridiculous.
