Possible project

Postby very_berry_bro on Mon Aug 15, 2011 10:44 am

I was wondering if any of you IR guys would be some what interested in a possible distance gala in sometime December maybe the weekend of the 17th. The event would be held at Columbus North High School and admission would be bringing anything that would benefit the humane society in Columbus (dog food, cat food, toys ..etc). The running events would be

1200m run
3200m run
800m run
1600m run
4x4 relay

Chocolate Milk provided at the end of each race. Awards will be given and afterwards ultimate frisbee will be held on the turf. If you have any questions please post.

These events are too regular. Wouldn't go out of my way for a normal track meet.

My project was approved, and will be run on December 17, 2011 At Columbus North High School track and field.
The events will have:

2k steeple chase (hay bails)
800m run
3200m run
4x4 relay

All awards are hand made. First and second place in each event will get a trophy (wooden very nicely done), and then 3,4,5,6,7 places will get a paper plate awards. Chocolate milk will be provided at the end of each event. Afterwards big games of ultimate frizzbe will be played on the football turf field.

Addmission into the meet is TWO items that benefits Lincoln Central family neighborhood. Those items would be: school supplies, toys (Christmas time), and etc. (maybe other items, will post later until I hear more). You can't get into the meet unless you have this.

If you have question pm me or post.

If you are interested in running this event please pm me. Send me your: name, school, grade, age, and e-mail. I will confirm you into the meet and send you your bib number.. REMEMBER THAT NUMBER.

Thanks,

So far... Franklin College runners might be coming, Lawrence Central, and a hand full of CN alumni will be attending this meet. Also T-shirts and singlets will be sold. And I forgot to say that the event starts at 3:00pm to 5:00pm

I have some questions on the steeplechase option. I am assuming you have no water jumps. SO, have you decided to use the hay bales in place of hurdle type options? How are you setting up the barriers per lap? Also, I find this an interesting project, seeing as you are putting on an outdoor track meet in the middle of December.

There will be no water jumps, and hay bales will be used. Hay Bales at the 50m, 150m, 250m, 350m. And on the 50m no hay bales on the first lap since it is close to the start. I think so far 5 people in the steeple, none in the 3200, none in the 800, and 4 teams in the 4x4.

Honestly will there be any carrot cake? If not, o do not see the point if attending unless gummy worms are present, in which case I would devour them and feast the competition down

Thanks alot for the count down, insulting our counting ability thats eal nice jerk. P.s. I don't even like berries, I like blueberries, but not wild berries, or rasberries, I guess black berries are okay, but I would never name myself thay because im not stupid. And that's just dumb personification, berries do not have the ability to be a "bro." Im begining to think that you do not even know anything.
