Alright guys just got the roster from Ben Davis. It's not completely concrete so I won't post it. So far we have LC1, LC2, LN1, LN2, WC, Avon, Carmel, and BD. Remember, tomorrow is the last day to let me know if you're team is in because Dorsey and I will be putting together the tournament bracket/pool on Friday, and I'll post it on Friday for everyone. Anyone feel free to come and watch, should be a great time!

We weren't going to have enough guys for alumni and current teams because so many alumni are out of town and because of a lack of interest from current guys. Ross told me that it was fine since we're all affiliated with the same school. If we are able to have a 2nd XC b'ball tourney, I was planning on having the same philosophy regarding team (alumni and current guys can play on same team). Who else is playing for sure?

Our new roster is the same as above minus Donny (indoor meet) and Johnny (work).

There is a chance that we will have some video coverage of Saturday's event. I suggested it to Matt last night, and he seemed pretty excited about it. He said that a friend of his is a tech genius and might be able to help us, or we could just use a flip video camera and have someone tape some footage.

There will be video coverage very similar to what was at the milk mile. We will get a plethora of pictures to post on facebook and enough video to create a solid youtube video commemorating the event.

Alright Guys, the tournament will consist of LN A, LN B, LC A, LC B(rosman), WC, Avon, BD, Carmel, Seymour, and Fishers. The address for LC is 7300 East 56th Street. Indianapolis, IN 46226. Once you get to the school, go around the back and park in the student parking lot. Well have a sign up by the Athletic Entrance so you know where to go. Unfortunately, our AD isn't letting us use the scoreboards (pretty pissed), but we have flip charts to keep track of score and will have two volunteers at each court to keep track of time and make it known to the teams. Well keep the rules the same (Two 10 min halves running clock, last two min each half stop dead ball etc.). Once Dorsey and I finish the Bracket I'll post it on here to let you all know. Should be an awesome tournament. See you Saturday!

Alright guys, Dorsey and I finished the brackets today during school. We created the pools completely by random, so there are no biases in the way they were chosen. There are four pools, and each team will play the other two teams in their pool, so each team will be garunteed at least two games. The team with the worst record in each pool will be eliminated from the tournament, and the other two teams in that pool will be seeded (ie Pool 1 First, Pool 1 Second, Pool 2 First, etc.) and placed in the bracket accordingly. Since we have an uneven number of teams for a 4pool set up, two of the teams got the luck of the draw and will make it to the tournament bracket regardless. They will play eachother twice (everyone else has two games) to determine their seed. The pools are:

Pool 1 (Balcony Court):
LC B
NC
Seymour

Pool 2 (Fieldhouse #1):
LN A
WC
Fishers

Pool 3(Fieldhouse #2):
LC A
Carmel
Avon

Pool 4 (Main Court):
BD
LN B

We will have plenty of volunteers to keep your team headed to the right court and to make sure the games go smoothly. We'll have the brackets, pools, and game times posted on all the courts and in the lobby. Everyone drive safe and we'll see you tomorrow!

Fun time that's for sure. Had fun playing LC twice, sorry we didn't try the second time, and a big sorry to Ben Davis for being rude and very disrespectful the whole time haha it was too easy. Big shoutout to Warren Central, I dont understand how fishers beat you guys. Can't way to see the pics and possibly video, but I didn't see anyone with a vid camera. Great Time

my vid crew no showed. camera man has about 100 solid pics from the tourney. add me on facebook and i can tag you when he uploads them. I would like to point out a large upset that happened in the tourney. First round game was a classic matchup of the LC self proclaimed "A" vs. The LC "B" Team. We gave it to em brosman style and were victorius. We were looking good in the semi-finals untill our star player, Adam Turner, died. We were forced to bring in Thomas McGuire, fresh out of his swim meet, who never played organized b ball in his life. A combination of that and Fisher's lock down 2nd half D ended our cinderalla story.

Team with most swag award goes to Seymour.

P.S. At one point, i had 2 bags of gummy worms in my possession. the gummywormking still remains unknown to me. I thought he would have the ability to sniff our gummy worms from a mile away.

Thank you very much for that compliment. You guys played us really tough which might have been part of the reason we were sluggish against Fishers. Fishers just played smarter than we did to be honest. We had a lot costly turnovers that led to points. I still had a great time and look forward to playing again next year.

Hey everyone just thought I'd wrap up the Tournament today.

Because of a couple no shows, we had to eliminate pool play for the most part and go right into bracket play. I know this sucked for some of the teams but everyone was really understanding about it and I appreciate it! In the end, Seymour and LC Brosman team played for 3rd place, with LC Brosman taking the trophy. For the final game, Fishers and Warren squared off, and after a really close game, Fishers came out on top, winning the tournament.

I can't thank everyone enough for coming out and playing today. We were able to raise a little over $400 dollars for my brother's organization, so, on a very personal note, I'm really thankful to you all who came out and supported that cause while having a good time. Shout out to all of my volunteers who helped put on the tournament, couldn't have done it without you all!

Best of luck to everyone in the upcoming Track season!

I wish we could but Warren's fieldhouse director never responded to any of my e-mails. By the time I could talk to him in person, it would be too late to set up a date. Last year we set it up over a month in advance and still only had a few dates to choose from.

Unfortunately I was not able to be in attendance, I am willing though to schedual a bball game against another school for a bag of gummy worms. Any takers?3 v. 3 or 5 for v. 5 I don't care. I just wanted to thank Ross for putting on such an awesome event. The Avon Brandon Vu's had a lot of fun even though we didnt manage a win... though I'd attribute that to my ear infection. Bad balance due to ear fluid problems led to an ugly shot, I wasnt able to ball as hard as I usually do. Nor was I able to go hard in da paint. But it's a great idea and hopefully more and more people are encouraged to meet runners outside of their own school.

You want a turny? Take your xc team and play mine. We play for three bags of gummy worms. I am willing to drive anywhere under an hour away. 3v3 or 5v5.
