Cross country

Bulldogs sweep

CENTERVILLE, Ind. --Centerville's cross country teams won both boys and girls races on Thursday over Tri and Knightstown.

Emily Vance of Centerville won the girls race in 21:17, while Shelby Short was second in 21:44.

Chandler Dillman finished second overall to lead the Bulldog boys in 18:59, with Adam Deckard coming in third at 19:11.

Tri's Nick Deom won the boys' race in 18:15.

The Boys had 21 points to Tri's 39 and Knightstown's 67, while the girls had 20, Tri 50 and Knightstown 64.

The Bulldogs run Saturday at the Delta Invitational.

Rogers wins again

LYNN, Ind. -- Hayley Rogers won again.

The Hagerstown cross country sophomore finished in a time of 19:06 to lead the Tigers over Blue River and Randolph Southern at Randolph Southern on Thursday.

Tess Weiss of Randolph Southern finished second overall in the girls race.

Clay Clark of Hagerstown finished second in the boys race to Matt Steiner of Blue River.

Hagerstown's girls team had 15 points, while the Rebels and Vikings both fielded incomplete teams.

The Tigers boys team had 26 to beat Blue Rivers' 31, while the Rebels had an incomplete boys team.

The Tigers run again Oct. 1 at the Jay County Invitational, while the Rebels run at the Randolph County meet at Monroe Central on Tuesday.
