Just a tough day. Didn't hear of any injuries, all Hanover runners did participate and other than their 5th runner they ran as expected. Actually Boone Grove ran very well. Like every conference meet, it only takes one runner to fall off and have a bad day to change the final scoring. One runner not running as well, especially in a small school conference can change everything.

This year in the PCC was much closer than in previous years. Five freshman and only 3 seniors in the top 15-- great future for PCC cross-country.

oh yeah one other question to ya morgan xc, what type of course is this, fast, not fast ? are you familiar with the very fast highland xc course? let me know how this course compares, ie 20, 30 sec slower ( faster!? lol)? thanks!

The course is at Boone Grove HS-- the course has never been fast, rolling upward grades with a 300 meter hill and the footing is never very good. Compared to Highland Invite course (a real race track) I would estimate the Boone Grove course to be at least 20-30 seconds slower, depending on the runner maybe even a little more.

The course is not flat at all...more like a "rolling" terrain. I can personally say that my daughter ran about 20 seconds slower on the course at BG than she did at Highland. Another thing that sticks in my mind is she didn't particularly like running on the "home course". Said it was, on many days, tougher than a lot of courses she ran on while in high school.

I've heard the Boone Grove course is actually something like 3.23 miles.

Your right Valpo 85, earlier this year it was measured out by two different individuals and it was 3.2. I had forgotten that issue. Overall the course is much slower than Highland's.

That's pretty funny since my daughter swore the course was long and the coaches told her it was dead on.....that would explain the times she ran there as opposed to everywhere else!!
