Cross country: Knights, Golden Eagles split
CAMBRIDGE CITY, Ind. -- Northeastern and Lincoln split during Thursday's tri-meet with Tri High, with the Knights winning the boys meet and the Golden Eagles getting the victory in the girls meet.
Lincoln's Houston Cornett was first in the boys race in 17:21, but the Knights tallied 30 points as a team to win. Lincoln had 38 and Tri 71. Tim Harris was Northeastern's top finisher in fourth place.
Northeastern's Ashley Mosley was first in the girls race in 21:23. Lincoln totaled 32 to win to Northeastern's 41 and Tri's 51. Kayli Burke was the top Golden Eagle to finish in third place.
