I heard that the proposal was voted down by the coaches for the track format for Cross Country, however I have heard that the IHSAA is looking at changing the format. The thing is that I am not sure there is a good solution. If it follows track than the Lafayette Regional because super hard. But if you leave it the same you are not getting the top notch teams to State. I know people will come on here and say that it does not really matter just have the kids run better and advance thru. But how do kids feel that when they look at the other Sectionals,Regionals and Semi-States around and compare times that their teams would advance in other areas but since theirs is super stacked than they don't advance. Teams like LN, Cathedral, Westfield to speak of the current format. But teams like Roncalli and Scecina advance with guys running in the 17:00's and 18:00's can advance easier.
