I can't find individual results but according to Kyle Johnson's Twitter (http://twitter.com/KJatIU) Poore got 4th and Mayhew got 11th. So Poore earned himself an auto-bid so good luck to him next Monday! After the 6K it also said that Bayer was in 7th so I don't know what happened to him. Overall not a good showing for the Hoosiers...
Also disappointed in how Butler ran. from looking at the results, Andy Baker will have to rely on a at-large bid to get in (assuming he was the Bulldog in 7th). He will most likely get it though from how he has torn it up all season. I don't think either ISU or OSU (and if OSU does have enough, I think it will be to late in the at-large process for Butler to have a chance) will have enough points to go to nationals so Butler is on the outside looking in right now.
Indiana State on the other hand really showed up today. They were 8th in the Region poll and ended up 4th. They were also swept by Indiana earlier in the year at Intercollegiate's and to come back to beat them handily is pretty huge.
Notre Dame finished about where they were expected to and I think Purdue ran well to get 15th with somebody running a great race to get 10th. I don't know enough about IUPUI, Evansville, or IPFW to comment on their races.
Edit: Looks like Roeder ran an excellent race for Butler. That probably leaves Baker out of the NCAA's as I doubt this region will get two individual at-large bids, from the same team none the less.

A lot of heartbreak with those results, wow.

4 295 SARAH PEASE INDIANA UNIVERSITY 21:01.06 5:39
6 298 WENDI ROBINSON INDIANA UNIVERSITY 21:07.07 5:40

Unfortunately for Ali, as it stands right now she would need the second individual at-large bid and I just don't see this regional getting both of them. She is an amazing runner and I'm really hoping that she makes it as IU still has a shot at an at-large bid. But right now it isn't looking good for her to move on.

In her four years at BSU, I think she has had six different distance coaches. Her team did not even bother to make the trip all the way across the state - probably saving money for the football guys.
What's the deal with Ball State not taking their complete team? I know that XC is not a sport of emphasis @ BSU but those runners deserve to at least go to the meet. I think that they maybe ran 5 meet overall. At least they were able to field a complete team this year.

I agree. It has to be difficult to get recruits when the team doesn't even participate in their regional meet. Ball State is fortunate to get the caliber of runners they have in Ali Bishel and Sarah Kehe, Chesterton H.S. I have no doubt Ball State could attract a lot of top talent from Indiana and surrounding areas, if they just put a little more emphasis into their program.

Well said. This kind of treatment doesn't go un-noticed. I was @ the DI finals in Terre Haute today and this same subject came up during the women's race. It sounded like them not attending the regional as a team was their punishment for doing so poorly in the MAC. It was also interesting to hear that the so-called "Ball State Inv." was scrambled together at the last second so they could keep their status in the MAC conference. Sounds like they have leadership problems there. With them already dropping their men's program and all of this going on with their women's program, it kinda lets you know what BSU thinks about XC.
