Best Championship Perfomance

You could make a pretty good argument for any of these.

I think that Columbus North Boy's and Futsum's victory were both impressive but at the same more expected. On the girl's side I don't think many people preditction both Tapring and Columbus North Girl's to come out with the huge victory. So I would probably say the ladies of Columbus North.

If there was a vote for other, I would defineitly have to through up Joe Ebling or Jason Shaw

I might be biased, but I voted for the Columbus North girls.

I had to vote for Tapring just like Colin had to vote for the CN girls but the CN girls really deserve a TON of credit for showing up and TAKING the title. It was wide open with everything and they really were the ones that seemed to want it the most.

Chris Walden. Perfected his race plan, looked focused and controlled. Quite the race big guy.
Just doing what I can to represent Indiana track & field.

Columbus North girls, by far. They came out of nowhere.

I don't mean to be a downer, because I do think that Walden ran a great race and deserves recognition for it, but doesn't a great CHAMPIONSHIP performance have to end up winning a CHAMPIONSHIP?

Once again, great race by Walden, but I don't think he should be eligible for this particular poll.

I am bias, but when you have people saying your going to win it or you have someone posting "I know we all want to see him loose" it is very hard for a young man who is sick to pull away and win like Futsum did. Not to mention the fear of someone taking off your shoe again. Saying that I think anyone who put their toe on that line that day did a wonderful job. Congrats to CN and everyone who ran that day and good luck in FL or NXN.

Sorry...I don't buy that...if you "ran the best race of the day" (a very humble statement from Futsum), what kind of race did Futsum run?

In my above post I just meant that that it was encouraging to hear from such a good runner like Futsum that he thought I ran a good race relative to expectation. Futsum ran amazing through the state series and has run well all season long. It just shows that he is one of Indiana's best and needs to be recongnized for it. Congrats to him and his first state xc title. I wish him all others still competing this season best of luck. God bless.

it's easily cn's girls and their very own individual winner. Great job ladies. Futsum ran a great race with how horrible the weather was, but who didn't think he'd win. Obviously walden ran the most impressively surprising race of the day, nobody had him second but he went out their and did his thing, like a boss. I would have to say kent garrett in 24th was also nasty. The kid hardly made it out of each and every tournament race, but knew exactly what he needed to do to get to state, and he did it as only a sophomore! Congrats Walden and Garrett.
