Looks like I picked 21 of 24 of the state finals teams in JULY. Not bad. Usually I am closer to 18-20.

Who knew XC was so predictable(lots of sarcasm)? Great job announcing today at the Carmel Semi-state. It makes the atmosphere that much better with someone announcing that knows their stuff.

Hey thanks, but I have a lot of work to do.

I completely dropped the ball on St. Joseph's and overrated Wawasee by quite a bit. I also had NO clue that North Harrison would be as legitimate as they are.

Good luck to all next weekend.

21 of 24 is ridiculous. I got 18, which I would think is pretty good since I averaged 4.5 correct per semistate in July. I can admit defeat to a superior, however.

I was five of six in semistates that I have covered in the past. Not bad, I suppose.

Brown County
1. Bloomington South
2. Heritage Hills

3. Madison
4. Bloomington North
5. Terre Haute North

6. Edgewood

Carmel
1. Carmel
2. Noblesville

3. Westfield
4. Franklin Central
5. Columbus North
6. Brownsburg

New Haven
1. FW Carroll
2. Huntington North

3. FW Northrop
4. West Noble
5. Northridge
6. DeKalb

New Prairie
1. Valparaiso
2. Lake Central
3. Portage
4. Crown Point

5. Kankakee Valley
6. Munster

I do remember saying when the preseason ranking had st. joe at #49 saying that they should be much higher, I never thought top 10 high, but maybe top 20.

Who could have predicted Flu being the biggest factor in many teams season outcomes. Word from many team camps were that runners on most teams weren't 100% healthy. If any teams like HN or Concord were among those, then they will be in the top 10. Also, you can't take a whole lot from semi state times going into this weekend. I have heard how the conditions were at Brown County and I know how they were at New Haven and there is now way that anyone in those races ran near what they could have on a dry course.
