FCC Rankings

Postby coachs on Mon Aug 01, 2011 3:02 pm

Since there is every kind of ranking imaginable on the message board, I thought that I would give my rankings for the fantasy teams.

1 Foot Pursuit (helped by trade, but if Zionsville does not qualify for state he could have trouble)

2 Regionrunner104 excellent balanced team--should definitely have five in state meet---many teams will have trouble getting five qualified

3 Botch63 excellent team, does not hurt to have Futsum leading the way

4 Flo-ridas good team--may have trouble getting five to state

5 CCrunner good team--also could have slight trouble getting five to

6 Coachs solid team---hurt when computer problems prevented me from making my round 5 and 6 picks, but was still able to add good people with drop/add ------getting Jack Andritsch, HSE, with pick #70 was a real bonus

7 Greenlantern I could have this team underrated--they could move up several spots

8 H-VilleRunner another team that might move up several spots

I'm #1 on the swag rankings
could definitely see my team winning, even without a high first round pick. I picked top 5 outside of the Carmel Semi, with good reason.

But i'm almost 100% sure Stamm and Hendricks aren't making it out of the carmel semi state. Stamm is a liiitle more likely, but not Hendricks. So now youre banking on those top 5 making it through and doing well, already on thin ice.

but not 100% sure lol, yeah that's what I was banking on, Hersch is the wildcard, but Mize, Harper, Sorells and Zeilinski should make it. I was gonna try for some trades but nothings gone down.

to my knowledge, my team is the only FCC team without a runner that has been to the state meet. I'm a strong believe in beginner's luck :)

ChoogRunner's team is looking pretty solid after the first week of xc meets. Jacob Poynter and Jackson Berotoli both ran sub 16:20 and Calvin Kraft ran 16:40 ish. Reeder had a down race in the 4k at the Carmel Classic but we all know he will be back when it counts and Kyle Duvall didn't have any meets this week but I believe might be possibly in the 15:40s or even faster this season.

This is the deadest year in the history of IR FCC for talk on the message board. Let's hear about your team's exploits. I have three under 16:00, six under 16:36 and number 7 at 16:45. All have an excellent chance of making it to state as six of them are on teams ranked in the top three in their semi state. The other is in the top 10 individuals in his SS.

I know... like I said it is kind of lame when nobody makes trades. I've reached out to 4 different people and got nothing and not even a counter offer.

My team has it's potential still. Roude really will need to race well late in the season for me though. He's my big x-factor. I'm also hoping my CN pick up develops well.
Flo-Ridas
Mitch Hubner (LP) - 15:41/15:49/15:34 - Triple Champion
Sam Roudebush (Noblesville) - 16:03/15:42/15:41
Tyler Schickel (EV. Mater Dei) - 16:13/16:01/15:44
Nicholas Lagemann (Prairie Heights) - 16:21/16:05/16:00 - Double Champion
Mason Herhusky (ZVille) - 16:40/16:19/16:27
Kaden Eaton (CN) - 16:31/16:38/16:30
Andrew Eckrich (FW Dwenger) - 16:36/16:40/16:45 - ELIMINATED

All opinions and view points are happily welcomed to be exercised. It doesn't seem that many people are big on taking risks and making moves are talking up their teams so here is an attempt to get some chatter going. From today's date, October 2nd, these look to be the top 10 teams for the State competition:
1. Samson 24
2. coachs
3. botch63
4. Flo-Rida
5. greenlantern
6. DorseyRuns2Win
7. ccrunner10
8. caballoblanco
9. Illegitimate
10. ChoogRunner
Any arguments, comments, complaints are encouraged as it would be nice to know what everyone is thinking right now about their teams.

I believe it will be a dogfight between both of you. It's really too close to call IMO. How many of your Carmel guys will be in the top 7 at State time? 3 or 4? It almost looks as if you could beat him if you got rid of a Carmel guy that will not be running at State and tried getting someone else from a team who you know is a top 5 guy that will make State.
I also know coachs personally though so I couldn't make it look like favoritism by putting him at #1. His roster definitely proves to be tough as I could see him having 5 guys in the top 55-65 spots overall at the State Meet.
